It's Okay to Be Nuts

I’ve been preoccupied lately and my wife, Carrie, is now a few days past her due date with our first kid. It’s an exciting time--also a little scary--and both of us haven’t been sleeping well. The good news is I just booked an acting job for a commercial campaign, which shoots eight commercials in three days. The bad news is that it shoots April 7th - 9th and if Carrie doesn't go into labor until then I'm not allowed to leave the set to be with her. We're not in a position to turn down money and both decided I should take the job. But the decision's been pretty hard on both of us. We're hoping she either goes in to labor today, or that our kid can hold out another week so I can be there. I bent down and talked to her stomach but I feel like my kid wasn't listening in there. She was squirming around the way I do when I get bored. To combat my insomnia, I finally took the time to edit a new interview...

I was at a movie screening a couple of weeks ago and Carrie recognized Stefani, a woman who volunteers at Cedars Sinai, the hospital where she works. The screenings are for SAG members, and Stefani’s sister, Carol is an actor. Stefani makes a living selling insurance. They congratulated me on Carrie’s pregnancy and I asked them if I could get some advice. Considering they never married or had children, their advice leaned towards how to make the most out of life. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, they both spent a few years in Rome, when Carol was chasing a guy. Stefani came along for the adventure. Now in LA, they seem to have found their groove on the West Coast. But I get the impression that if they found something that interested them in some other part of the world, these two wouldn’t be afraid to go check it out.

Carol and Stefani, Age... none of my business:

  1. They're adorable. Can't tell which one's the actress! Couldn't really see the brunette, she was kinda cut off on the side of the screen.
